By 2025, EVs on the market will be counted not in the dozens but in the hundreds

BMW iNext

BMW did the rounds of the most recent auto shows with its iNext concept, a proudly futuristic-looking SUV. And judging by the interest the prototype has generated up to now, the production model should make a lot of noise when it arrives for 2021.

In addition to its electric powertrain, the iNext SUV will come with Level 3 autonomous driving capability, currently in development at BMW. That system should be ready by the 2021 target date, says the automaker.

As for the styling of the iNext, we should expect it to lose some of its crazier elements by the time it reaches production phase, especially inside. Still though, for most of us, when trying to imagine a vehicle of the future, this is kind of what it looks like.
