While the Bolt handles the subcompact segment, the Equinox EV is the workhorse of Chevrolet’s electric fleet. It has quickly become a favourite for Canadian families who want a familiar SUV form factor with a high-tech heart. The 2026 model starts at $46,199 for the base FWD trim, making it a strong contender for those looking to maximize their federal iZEV rebate.

Performance varies by trim, with power output ranging from 220 hp in front-wheel-drive configurations up to 300 hp in eAWD models. The Equinox EV is a range leader in its class, offering up to 513 km of range from a single charge. It provides a generous 748 litres of cargo space behind the rear seats, expanding to over 1,600 litres with the seats folded.
