Best compact SUV: Toyota RAV4

The big revision Toyota gave its popular RAV4 SUV last year almost literally gave it new wings, nowhere more so than on the Canadian market. The new, more rugged design and the arrival of an improved hybrid variant certainly won over a lot of buyers in the segment.
What’s more, the company’s more-aggressive pricing strategy on the hybrid model shows that Toyota is serious about gaining new converts in the SUV market. Consider as well the reputation for indestructibility of the model and the brand, and you get a vehicle that is hard to match when it comes to considering value.
The RAV4 was my choice in this segment last year, and the model gave me no reason to change my opinion this time around…

"The quality of execution has clearly been upgraded, especially inside, where the dashboard for example benefits from better materials and a much-improved presentation. The driving experience overall is also much better. And, we expect that the hybrid version will become a common sight on Canadian roads."
