GMC Hummer EV
General Motors has long declared loudly and proudly its intention to prioritize electricity in the medium and long term. A little before the Super Bowl, GMC released the first images of a pickup truck sporting a chrome grille tattooed with the letters H-U-M-M-E-R with a small GMC badge housed lower in the bumper.
Based on the same platform as the Cruise Origin, a fully autonomous electric vehicles introduced just a week prior, the GMC Hummer EV pickup should help the brand lower the overall average fuel consumption rating of its SUV/truck lineup.
As with many of the models featured on this list, the significance goes beyond the specific vehicle in development. Remember that a plethora of utility models will use this architecture in the near-future at GM.
