2020 Mazda CX-30
Last November in Los Angeles, Mazda unveiled the CX-30, a new utility vehicle that sits between the CX-3 and CX-5. So why not use the name CX-4? Simply because that nameplate is already in use on a model unique to the Chinese market, so Mazda had to take another approach.
It should also be noted that the 30 models (as in, the all-electric MX30) add another level of luxury. The lines of this new in-betweenie SUV are inspired by the latest-gen Mazda 3 by placing it higher on its wheels and using the same platform. The interior is also more luxurious in th style of the new 3.
The product offering includes a choice between a 2.0L or 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces between 155 and 186 hp and costs between $23,950 and $33,850.
