2020 Cadillac CT5
Another sedan! Here's the new Cadillac model that will replace both the CTS and the ATS, two cars dropped from the premium brand’s catalog for 2019.
The CT5 will arrive as a 2020 model in the fall, and be available in two trims: the 350 T and the 550 T. The numbers represent the number of Nm (newton-meters) of the car, or its torque.
Like many others with shiny new things on display in New York, Cadillac is betting big on technology with its CT5. Buyers will get the Super Cruise Driver Assistance feature that allows hands-free driving on more than 208,000 km (130,000 miles) of limited-access highways in the United States and Canada with LiDAR map data , a high-precision GPS, a state-of-the-art driver attention system and a network of cameras and radar sensors.
Beyond that there’s a choice of two engines in the product offering. The 350t version comes with a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, while The 550t version runs on a 3.0L turbo V6 with 335 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use the same 10-speed automatic transmission and technologies such as direct injection, camshaft phasing, active fuel management (cylinder deactivation) and automatic stop/start, all in the cause of better-balanced performance, refinement and efficiency.
This is a model whose format and features puts in line with the BMW 5 Series.
