The Los Angeles Auto Show was the setting for the announcement of the finalists for Car, SUV and Truck of the Year by the NACTOY (North American Car & Truck/Utility of the Year) organization. The three finalists were chosen from an earlier list of semi-finalists, which were rated, analyzed and picked apart by the NACTOY jury. The big winners will be announced at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2019.

North American Car of the Year finalist: Genesis G70
There’s simply no getting away from the smallest member of the Genesis clan of premium sedans. In its short existence the stand-alone luxury division of Korean automaker Hyundai has managed to successfully take on the BMWs and Audis of this world, and its models, particularly the G70 compact sedan, are fixtures at or near the top of Best Of lists.
During our recent 2019 Auto123.com Awards the Genesis G70 took home the top prize as Luxury Compact Car of the Year. It’s also been named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year for 2019, and is a Car and Driver 10Best Choice for 2019.
