The models affected are the IS 350 from 2006 to 2013, the IS 350C advanced from 2010 to 2014, as well as the GS 350 and GS 450h originally sold between 2007 and 2011.

Toyota has recalled 115,000 Lexus-branded vehicles due to a potential risk of engine fuel leaks.

The recall covers IS 350 models from 2006 to 2013, IS 350C from 2010 to 2014, as well as 2007-2011 GS 350 and GS 450h models. All affected vehicles are equipped with the manufacturer's 3.5-litre V6 gasoline engine.

"The diaphragm material in the fuel pulsation dampers in this engine may harden over time and crack, causing fuel to leak," the company said.

Of course, this kind of leak can increase the risk of fire.

Toyota did not comment on whether there were any injuries or deaths related to this recall.

Lexus dealers will replace the fuel delivery line with a new one that contains improved pulsation dampers. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail beginning in August.

As is often the case with a vehicle recall, it will take a little longer to learn how many models are affected in Canada.
