We saw the Enclave concept at the 2006 NAIAS, but here's the "real thing" undergoing some final testing in the western part of the States. Besides a good look at the headlamps and taillights (through the light camouflage), we also got a quick but good look inside.
Sharing the new Lambda platform with the Saturn Outlook and GMS's Acadia, the Enclave will sport more luxury amenities than its Saturn and GMC siblings.
The new Enclave will be powered by a 270-horsepower 3.6-liter DOHC V6, mated to a 6-speed transmission. Future powertrains may include a dual-hybrid system, although we doubt this will be available when the Enclave first arrives at dealerships.
With the Aztek long gone, and the Rainier and Rendezvous discontinued, the Enclave might already have a loyal fan base with existing Buick customers, and will be a great upgrade for people looking for something a bit more than what Saturn and GMC will have to offer.
