Selling Lamborghini or Bentley would have seemed absurd for Volkswagen not so long ago, but that’s the solution it could be forced to take if it struggles to pay back the €20 billion loan received from German banks last week. Ducati is another possibility, according to Reuters.
Almost 500 lawsuits have been filed in the U.S. against Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche since the emissions scandal became public on September 18th. The German automaker will also have to pay massive fines and assume the costs of recalling more than 11 million vehicles worldwide.
