François Duval’s serious crash this weekend during Rally Deutschland won’t keep him away from the World Rally roads as he already plans ahead for another venue.
A sore back, bruises and an injured co-driver with two broken bones were not enough to convince him two years away from the WRC world was too much to catch up on, to the contrary.
Duval recalls he was the fastest Ford driver on board of his Ford Focus during the first Panzerplatte stage, before the accident that sent him rolling near the end of the 48km stage.
The driver is eying an outing in France and Spain, the first of the two coming fast with only six weeks of preparation left.
“My back feels a bit sore today, and Denis (Giraudet, co-driver) has two broken ribs, but we’ll both be okay for that,” Duval said.
