The Mini’s WRC program is conducted by
Prodrive, the British company that has already ran the factory Subaru rally programme a few years ago.
The drivers of the Minis will be
Dani Sordo, who spent five seasons at Citroen Racing as the teammate of Sebastien Loeb, and British driver Kris Meeke, the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Champion.
Several Mini John Cooper Works cars have already run in round of the WRC but under the S2000 regulations. The factory cars will run under WRC regulations with a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and an aerodynamic kit.
