The World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) will feature 12 events, including races in Argentina and China.

Championship promoter Marcello Lotti confirmed that Buenos Aires track in Argentina, and brand new Guangdong International Circuitn near Guangzhou will host WTCC races for the first time next season.

During those two rounds, the WTCC will be presented together with national touring car championship : TC2000 in Argentina, and CTCC in China, in order "to establish close relationshi between the FIA WTCC and the national championship," said Marcello Lotti.

On the other hand, the Moroccan event in Marrakech is still to be confirmed after the incidents of this year’s races. "We wish to include the Race of Morocco in the calendar again. And after the meetings held at the FIA to investigate what happened earlier this year, Morocco’s National Sporting Authority has drafted a serious plan to prevent this from happening again. However, before going any further we need to receive a written confirmation from the event promoter," Marcello Lotti added.

It has also been confirmed that Suzuka will replace Okayama for the japanese round next year. The WTCC organizers are also still considering an american event in the future, maybe in Florida.
