Volvo didn't include any information on the VCC's powertrain or suspension system, but its 20-inch wheels on 245/40R20 Pirelli run flat tires foretell strong performance specifications. Most likely the Swedish automaker incorporates a version of its high-pressure turbocharged inline 5-cylinder, possibly rated at 300-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque as in its stellar new S60R and V70R. As previously mentioned the VCC uses a steering wheel mounted button actuated automatic transmission, which is probably at least derived from the stock 5-speed unit currently available in a variety of Volvo models.

Obviously its powertrain wasn't the VCC's reason for being, or else Volvo would have offered more information on the subject. Instead a unique approach to exterior design and interior packaging might just presage future Volvo products.
