V6 and V8 Versions Available with Rear or All-Wheel Drive
Cadillac might just win the award for the new millennium's most improved premium automaker, with its new Escalade, CTS, XRS and now the sporty SRX utility vehicle.
While Nissan's Infiniti brand might have something to say for that, Cadillac at least has a serious contender to fight the Japanese brand's impressive FX35/45. The SRX looks as daring as the CTS, with interior refinement levels that surpass its sedan sibling, and reportedly offers a combination of power and handling that rivals the best in the business.

With the Canadian MSRP of its base V6 model starting at $52,250 and top-line V8 at $60,930, it falls directly inline with its Japanese competitors while undercutting the top Germans by thousands.

To some these may seem like high prices for a nameplate that in recent years has a less haloed brand perception than BMW or Mercedes-Benz, for instance, despite having one of the longest histories of any luxury brand in North America and once being considered the standard of the world.
But in today's fiercely competitive luxury market past laurels are only advantageous for name recognition, it's what's going on now that matters. To this end Cadillac has climbed high in the J. D. Powers and Associates quality survey ranks, showing that their new cars and SUVs not only look progressive, but offer a new level of quality and refinement at least on par with many of the top marques.
