At the time of this writing, there are no fuel ratings for the CLS 400 4MATIC. However, the CLS 550 will do 11.9L/100km in the city and 8.1L/100km on the highway. Opt for the balls-out powerful CLS 63 AMG S-Model and you’re looking at 13.5L/100km in the city and 9.1L/100km on the highway.
Powertrain: Each CLS features its own engine. In the CLS 400 4MATIC you’ll find a new 3.0L Bi-Turbo V6 mill that produces 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The CLS 550 4MATIC features a 4.7L Bi-Turbo V8 that pushes out 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. And finally, at the top of the CLS-Class food chain, the CLS 63 AMG S-Model is equipped with a 5.5L Bi-Turbo V8 that produces 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
Both the CLS 400 and CLS 550 feature Mercedes’ 7G TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic, and the CLS 63 AMG S-Model features an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed automatic. All CLS models feature Merc’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
Changes and Improvements: No major changes or improvements have been seen since the 2014 facelift.
Cargo Capacity: The CLS-Class features a whopping 520 litres of trunks space thanks to the grand coupe body style.
Safety: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class comes equipped with all manner of standard safety equipment and airbags including Collision Prevention Assist, Adaptive Brake with HOLD, Attention Assist (to help keep you in your lane), as well as Magic Vision Control (windshield wiper fluid dispenser attached to the wiper arm) and Crosswind Assist.
