On April 1st, more than 145,000 copies of the New Zealand Herald rolled off the press with a front-page ad inviting people to bring their used car to the Newmarket dealership and swap it for a brand new BMW 1 Series. The first person to do so, having fulfilled terms and conditions, would be rewarded with the new car.

Tiaana Marsh, who lives near Auckland, dared to visit the dealership at 5 a.m. with her 15-year old Nissan Avenir. Instead of being pranked, she was given a $45,000 BMW 1 Series by the manager. The joke's on everybody else, because Tiaana will be driving a car with a licence plate that reads “NOF00L.”
