Christer Jöns, Christopher Mies and Darryl O'Young converted their pole position effort of yesterday into a win at the Bathurst 12 Hour race, giving Audi a second consecutive victory at Mount Panorama.

The margin of victory was just 1min13s, and the battle with Ferrari and Mercedes – through rain, fog and spins – hard fought.

The Maranello Racing Ferrari 458 of Simonsen/Farnbacher/Bowe/Edwards seemed to have pace, but could not overcome the consistency of the No. 1 Phoenix Racing Audi in the long run. Not even a spin from the eventual winners could upset their race.

In the end, it was the Erebus Racing Mercedes SLS of Slade/Bleekmolen/Hackett/Curtis that came home second, in front of the Clearwater Racing Ferrari 458 of Sun/Baird/Griffin.
