BMW Canada Inc. has announced another record breaking month with September sales results 5% higher (880 units) than the same month last year. Year-to-date, BMW Canada's total sales are up by 19% (9551 units) over the same period last year.
The BMW 5 Series experienced significant sales growth, with September 2001 sales up by 48% over the same period last year. Year-to-date sales of the ever-popular BMW X5 are up by 47%, while sales of the 3 Series are up 25%.
"BMW Canada's strong sales are enduring," explains Hendrik von Kuenheim, President and CEO of BMW Canada Inc. "With three months left in 2001, we have already surpassed our 1999 sales record of 9011 units."
BMW Canada's Motorcycle Division also surpassed an all time sales record in September, with sales 63% higher than September 2000. Year-to-Date sales are up by 32%, amounting to 780 units.
