My predictions
It's hard to write about such a prestigious competition without making a few predictions. Of course, this is a tough task to do. Still, some models garnered so much attention that they have become near locks.
In the Small Car category, Saturn's Astra, which has yet to hit the market, received praise from almost every journalist. It might win in a landslide.
In the Family Car category, the all-new Honda Accord sedan should come out on top, but the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu will be hot on its heels. Other favorites include the Cadillac CTS, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 335i Convertible and Nissan Rogue. Elsewhere, the battle is fierce and too close to call.
At the end of this exercise, consumers will be the ultimate winners. The comparative test data and complete vote results will be posted on the AJAC web site as a resource buying guide. If you want to make your own predictions, simply go to www.ajac.ca and place your bets. As mentioned earlier, the winners will be announced in December.
