The twelfth factory-customized PT cruiser kicked off the Woodward Dream Cruise today, while commemorating one of the most celebrated and picturesque driving roads in the USA, the Pacific Coast Highway.
The special model will be available later this summer as a limited-production version of the successful PT Cruiser, which has now sold over a million units since its introduction.
To make a long drive down the Pacific Coast Highway as economical as possible, the special edition PT Cruiser is offered with the naturally aspirated, 2.4 litre 150 horsepower four cylinder engine. Equipped with a manual 5-speed transmission, it offers a hands on driving experience and economical operation, achieving 29 miles per gallon.
Larry Lyons, VP of Chryslers front wheel drive product team explains that the special model celebrates not only the drive, but the destination too. He adds "The Chrysler PT Cruiser gives the car buffs here at the Chrysler Group the opportunity to factory customize a classic".
Unique features like 17-inch platinum clad wheels, chrome grille and accents, exclusive badging and interior treatments round out the package, which is to be finished, suitably, in Ocean Blue paint. The PT Street Cruiser Pacific Coast Highway Edition starts around $23,250 CAD.
