Another problem which nobody appears to be considering is the added cost in fuel and emissions.

As we all know, keeping to a steady average speed is the most economical way of getting around. Therefore, if drivers are constantly standing on the brakes and then the gas pedal, fuel economy has to suffer.

I personally think that the British government has gone plum crazy with this idea. Yes, they may be raking in the money now, but what is going to happen when all those drivers are sitting at home not being able to work? They'll be paying it back out in unemployment cheques, that's what!

Still, I don't have to worry about that, and neither do you. But wait a minute! The fines are sent to the registered owner or the car rental agency, and they hold your credit card upon which you signed responsibility for all fines and surcharges.

So if you're thinking of a driving holiday in Britain, be prepared for the high fuel charges, and just wait till you get billed for all your "holiday snaps"!!!
