DaimlerChrysler Canada, Canderel Stoneridge Equity Group and the City of Windsor today celebrated the official grand opening of the DaimlerChrysler Canada Building at One Riverside Drive West in Windsor, Ontario.

"DaimlerChrysler Canada is proud to call Windsor home for over 76 years. The move of our Canadian head office operations to the downtown core reinforces our commitment to the city," said Ed Brust, Chairman, President and CEO, DaimlerChrysler Canada. "On behalf of all DaimlerChrysler Canada employees, I would like to thank the men and women who have devoted countless hours over that past few years to the completion of One Riverside Drive. It is an exquisite building with great work environment for our employees!"

The project developer was Canderel Stoneridge with architectural support from Webb Zerafa Meukes Housden Partnership and primary construction done by Ellis Don. "Canderel Stoneridge is delighted to have been the developer along with Orix Real Estate Equities of this remarkable development," said Jonathan Wener, Chairman, Canderel Management Inc. "We are confident that Windsor's revitalization will be further enhanced by this outstanding landmark. I would like to congratulate all participants, including DaimlerChrysler Canada and the City of Windsor."

The project wouldn't have happened without the support of the City of Windsor. "Windsor is Canada's Automotive Capital," noted Mayor Michael Hurst"and nothing could say that as proudly and permanently as having the national head office of our number one employer, right in the heart of our community."
