Already established as a serious training ground for European racing series such as GP2, Formula Master's status as a feeder series was extended to the United States today as two additional prizes in the Indy Pro-Series and the Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series were confirmed.

Aimed at encouraging young drivers to pursue professional prospects in the United States, both USA-based tests are the result of a new partnership between Formula Master and Cheever Group.

Formed in 1997 following owner Eddie Cheever Jr's 132-race career in Formula One, Cheever Racing has enjoyed several wins in the IndyCar Series, including the Indianapolis 500, as well as the Indy Pro-Series.

"This new relationship with Formula Master solves our goal of establishing a bridge between European and American racing and offering young drivers the alternative of racing in the USA," said Cheever. "Due to the high level of competition in Formula Master we are convinced the graduates of this Series will be prepared to take the next step in their professional career. We are looking forward to testing the next young stars."

Whilst the Indy Pro-Series test will be awarded to this year's best rookie, the Grand-Am test will be granted to the best two teammates of the year.

The prizes complete Formula Master's impressive line-up of tests for this year, which will see the Series' champion test with the Honda Racing F1 Team. 2008's vice-champion will be granted a test with GP2 team Trident Racing and the Formula Master driver finishing third in the Series will be awarded a test in the N.Technology Honda Accord Euro R Super 2000 WTCC car.

The Formula Master racecar
N.Technology's Formula Master racecar features Magneti Marelli hydraulic gearbox control system with gearbox and clutch wheel paddles control. With advanced aerodynamics, it weighs just 550kg including the driver and runs on control tyres by Yokohama.

The first car in the world to secure 2008 FIA homologation, the Formula Master single-seater has generated excitement from all sectors thanks to its dynamic styling, lightweight body and powerful Honda K20A engine.
