The Formula Tour 1600 series for single-seaters staged two races during the weekend of the Grand prix of Trois-Rivieres.
Xavier Coupal clinched victory in the first race. He managed to pull away from his pursuers to cross the finish line with an impressive advantage of 8.5 seconds over Olivier Bonnet.
Olivier’s father Michel Bonnet finished third in front of Didier Schraenen.
In the second race, Nathan Blok claimed victory with a thin margin of just one tenth of a second over Olivier Bonnet.
Chris Vlok finished third in front of veteran Robert Boyer and Hugo Lafontaine.
