This, of course, is nothing new. Most automakers offer front- or rear-wheel drive versions of SUVs in the U.S. that aren't
necessarily available in Canada.
For Canadians wanting something similar to the Lexus RX 400h at a better price, minus the luxury nameplate, a bevy of convenience features and with less opulent surroundings, Toyota's new Highlander Hybrid delivers an all-wheel drive package identical to that in the current 400h.
But that begs the question. Could a front-wheel drive Highlander Hybrid be around the corner? One is already available in the U.S., and such a vehicle may make more sense to Canadians...
