THE EVs
Hyundai Kona Electric
The Kona EV has also been redesigned for 2024, with Hyundai providing a few visual cues from the Ioniq 5 EV to help differentiate it from the gas-powered model. These include an application of the Ioniq’s “Pixel” design cues running below the taillight bar and lower front fascia. Inside, all Kona Electric models gets yellow accents on the steering wheel, dash and seats as well as extra storage in the front trunk, or frunk.
The Kona electric is available only as a 2WD model with a 64.8-kWh battery providing up to 418 km of range as well as 201 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque. It will also support vehicle-to-load capability, meaning you can attach appliances at the campsite.

Hyundai Ioniq 5
We’ll have to wait until 2025 for the big changes to come to Hyundai’s popular and award-wining EV CUV/hatch, when the high-performance N model debuts. For now, the Ioniq 5 continues to be available in two trims – Preferred Long Range (488 km) and Preferred AWD Long Range (414 km) – and gets minimal changes. There’s yet another application of Hyundai’s haptic feedback safety warning steering wheel as well as standard rear side airbags and rear outboard seatbelt pretensioners.

Hyundai Ioniq 6
The Ioniq 6 sedan only really arrived in mid 2023, so there aren’t many changes for 2024. There’s now a Preferred AWD with Ultimate Package trim, which adds 20-inch wheels, Bose 8-speaker audio, heads-up display, leatherette seats, dual-level ambient lighting, surround view monitor and blind view monitor, electronic active sound design whose report changes with your speed, plus a host of other safety upgrades.
The Hyundai Digital Key is also now available on both the Preferred Long Range (581 km on 18-inch wheels, 491 km on 20-inch wheels) and Preferred AWD Long Range (509 km on 18-inch wheels, 435 km on 20-inch wheels) trims, which are you only two choices for 2024.

Hyundai NEXO
Hyundai may be focusing more on traditional battery-electric powertrains when it comes to electrifying its line-up, but that doesn’t mean it’s forgotten the NEXO fuel-cell electric vehicle, or FCEV. It’s carrying on to 2024 with minimal changes save more USB ports that are all USB-C style. That’s it.
