Japanese Carmakers Show Blistering Sales, Overpass American Carmakers
The sales figures are in, and for the month of July two of the largest Japanese carmakers have once again demonstrated blistering results by out-performing the market. Toyota overtook Ford in terms of July sales with 241,000 units. This comes despite Fords year-to-date sales increase of well over 20%. Additionally, American Honda Motor Company outsold the Chrysler group for the month with 152,000 units and came within about 20,000 of overtaking Daimler-Chrysler.
