KV Racing Technology has confirmed that drivers Takuma to and EJ Viso will be back with the team for the 2011 IZOD IndyCar season, with both entries to run in the distinctive Lotus livery.

Last year, commercial partner Group Lotus had already stated that it would be expanding its partnership with KV in preparation for its plan to produce engine and aero kits under the 2012 rules.

Although he was competitive throughout his first IndyCar season, former F1 driver Takuma Sato was involved in a series of incidents and crashes that reminded most of us of the ones he used to experience during his days in Formula One.

It was a costly year for KV as Sato’s teammates EJ Viso and Mario Moraes were also involved in several incidents, although Viso managed to take a podium finish at Iowa Speedway.

KV has not yet announced if it will run a third car with different backing, but Jimmy Vasser, part-owner of KV Racing has previously stated that he was keen to retain Moraes alongside Sato and Viso.

Current Lotus test driver James Rossiter had also been linked to a limited programme with KV.
