Japanese car manufacturer Mazda has decided to provide a scholarship to help the Indy Lights’ champion to graduate to the IndyCar series starting next year as part of its involvement in the 'Road to Indy' development ladder.
Mazda is currently providing a scholarship to help the USF2000 champion to graduate to the Star Mazda series. But starting next year, Mazda’s support will be extended to the next level of the American single-seaters’ ladder.
In addition to the IndyCar scholarship for the Indy Lights champion, the Star Mazda champion will also get a scholarship to move up to the Indy Lights series.
