Expanding as a part of Nissans 3-year Value Up plan, the luxury brand was launched this Wednesday in Russia at the Moscow International Motor Show. The plan will see the sporty FX crossover and M sedan on sale at two dealerships in Moscow and one in St. Petersburg starting in 2008.
Nissan announced that the G35 sport sedan and QX56 full sized SUV will also join the M and the FX in the European lineup.
Infiniti products were launched in Canada and the US in 1989, and are also currently available in Taiwan, the Middle East and Korea. European operations will be headquartered in Switzerland and the automaker plans further expansion into China and the Ukraine into 2007.
The Infiniti brand in Europe will be supported by a dedicated sales and service network. Additionally, the new showrooms will incorporate the Infiniti Retail Design Initiative (IREDI) standards, a dynamic and innovative dealership design standard for Infiniti retailers around the world. The IREDI is intended to focus on the brands Total Ownersip Experience (TOE), based on a customer-centric philosophy to build long lasting relationships that go beyond more tangible product attributes.
Carlos Tavares, Executive VP of Product Planning at Nissan Motor Co. concluded saying "We believe that in Russia, as in other Infiniti markets, our customers will be those looking for this new, very personal style of luxury and respectful treatment."
