The new logo stands for 40 years of luxury exotic automobile manufacturing. Lamborghini's name is one of the most revered in all of autodom. |
Lamborghini will soon be turning 40, which for a car company makes it time for a celebration. The revered Italian marque has announced a special logo to commemorate the occasion. While a photo of a new Murciélago adorned with the stylized number is shown, no one from Lamborghini is saying whether or not, by customer request, it can be applied to cars.
The initial idea came from Walter de Silva (Lamborghini designer turned director of AUDI design) who made official arrangements through Luc Donckerwolke, managing director of design for Lamborghini in Sant' Agata Bolognese. Both say they were inspired by the shape of the Murciélago, and who wouldn't be.

The logo was inspired by the gorgeous Lamborghini Murciélago. There's no word yet regarding its application to the cars themselves. That said, Lamborghini customers would probably appreciate having a special edition commemorating such a monumental event. |
The new logo will adorn company marketing materials though, that will be on hand at a special 40th year exhibition beginning in April of 2003 and finishing in June at the Bolognese factory, to which all world-wide club members and enthusiasts are invited.
