British motorsport magazine Autosport has revealed that Jaguar is eyeing a return to the Le Mans Series 24 Hours for a first time since 1991.
The magazine states that a decision of principle has already been made for the return of the brand in the popular series.
It is still unclear what timeframe Jaguar and Tata Motors are working towards. The Tom Walkinshaw-ran Jaguar team and its XJR-12s Sports Prototype race cars clinched seven victories before 1990.
