The Japan-based firm has just unveiled its build-it-yourself, single-seater electric vehicle. Commercially available in Japan, the Pius will be registered in that country as a motorized bicycle. It will reach speeds of up to 35 km/h, with an estimated 25-km range.
According to Modi-Corp, the vehicle is mostly intended as an educational tool to teach students EV basics. The company hopes to sell the Pius to universities, technology institutes, and car mechanic schools. Modi will also offer to fit the vehicle with custom components so that customers may evaluate their own use of the vehicle.
The vehicle's cost is yet to be released.
