It's FedEx.... Bud!

Okay, here's the question of the week. Who is 25 year old Denny Hamlin? Here's a clue. He just ordered a $3 million jet, and after a

little afternoon drive at Daytona, he can nearly pay for it.

Give up? Okay, Hamlin drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in the #11 FedEx Monte Carlo, and on Sunday afternoon he wheeled his way into victory lane after winning the Budweiser Shootout. The race was actually supposed to take place in 'prime time' on Saturday night, but rain moved it to Sunday. The 70 lap event saw all the typical Nextel Cup action at Daytona - lots of bumping and banging - but Gibbs' rookie driver Hamlin bested the field taking his first 'Cup' win.

those last five laps I was about to have a nervous breakdown," Dennis Hamlin said. "I'm so excited; I don't know what to say."

Behind Hamlin came Dale Earnhardt Jr, who seems to have found his Daytona legs, and said after the Shootout that he has a better car for next weekends Daytona 500.

Defending Cup champ Tony Stewart was third, Scott Riggs showed strength finishing fourth, and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top five.

Despite the win, the racing was cutthroat to say the least, and that was a fact that was not lost on any of the drivers, but only one was brave enough

to say anything after the race.

This, ladies and gents, is going to be a big problem - mark my words. As much as I hate to agree with Tony Stewart, in this instance he - I hope - is wrong, but I fear he is right.

After the race, Stewart held no punches when he gave a chilling prelude to next weekend's Daytona 500.

"We're gonna kill somebody," Stewart said. "Somebody else is gonna die at Daytona or Talladega with what we're doing right here. I hope I'm not around when it happens."

of gives you chills, doesn't it? Takes you back to 2001, when Dale Sr. lost his life. I hope, no I pray that NASCAR takes a serious look at this situation before next weekend. Everyone likes close, good racing, and no one wants to see anyone get hurt, much less killed doing it.

With the 'Superbowl' of the NASCAR season set for next Sunday, I really hope they step up and put a stop to this before we all regret it.

******Late news just in - Jimmie Johnson is dq'd from 5th on the grid for the Daytona 500 for illegal trackbar adjustment.
