Ryan Truex, the younger brother of Martin Truex, Jr., has been signed by Joe Gibbs Racing to run six NASCAR Nationwide Series races.
The team announced Truex will drive the No. 20 Toyota in six races this season in the Nationwide Series program in Atlanta beginning on September 3, then on to Richmond, Chicago, Dover, Kansas, and Phoenix.
Truex, 19, has currently been driving for Michael Waltrip Racing where he’s appeared in a number of different series. He’s had ten Nationwide Series starts this year with one top-ten finish. And Truex has been champion, twice, in the K&N Pro Series East.

"His family has a great history in our sport and he has really proven himself with the opportunities he has had thus far in his young career. When you look at what he's already achieved in the K&N Series and with the opportunities he has already had in Nationwide, we're looking forward to him accomplishing great things for our team."
