Nissan Kicks

In a world where everything is ever more expensive, it's good to find a small SUV at a reasonable price. The Kicks is one of the least expensive vehicles on the market, and like the Versa, it offers a lot of bang for the buck. On the contrary, as standard, the Kicks comes standard with a host of welcome accessories and technology.

Don’t change a winning formula, the saying goes. That's why Nissan is making no changes to its small SUV for 2024, which received a proper update the year before. With the Qashqai now withdrawn from the range, the Kicks stands out as the manufacturer's least expensive SUV. Despite the absence of all-wheel drive, consumers nonetheless seem to appreciate the Kicks for its versatility, low fuel consumption and proven mechanics. Five variants are available: the Kicks S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR and SR Premium, with a price range not exceeding $30,000.

Nissan Rogue

The Rogue competes in one of the most popular SUV segments. The lineup of compact SUV rivals is fierce:  Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson, just to name those.

Little surprise then that Nissan is updating the Rogue for the 2024 model-year to ensure it can continue to stand up to the competition. The changes are numerous, starting with a new front end incorporating a new grille and a redesigned bumper. The rear end also benefits from some changes thanks to a new bumper style, while new wheels and body colors complete the list of aesthetic improvements.

Mechanically, the Rogue is now offered with just one engine choice, a turbocharged 1.5L 3-cylinder engine rated at 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, while all-wheel drive is standard equipment.

The 2024 Rogue inherits some technological enhancements, such as the integration of a new multimedia system powered by Google Android (for SL and Platinum versions), a first for a Nissan product. The system is displayed on a 12.3-inch screen. As with other Nissan models, the NissanConnect remote technology service is now available on a free three-year trial basis.

Nissan Murano

The Murano may be getting on in years, but it's still firmly rooted in the popular two-row mid-size SUV segment. That's why Nissan is preparing a next-generation model for 2025. In other words, it’s the status quo for 2024.

Under the hood, the 3.5L V6 engine continues to produce 260 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. This is combined with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive. The Murano stands out in the segment above all for its still very unique design, evoking the look of a large, lifted coupe rather than an SUV. Admittedly, it's outdated in technical and technological terms, but some will appreciate the performance of its powerful V6 engine and its established reliability.

Nissan Pathfinder

The Nissan Pathfinder is one of the best-selling three-row SUVs in Canada. Consumers appreciate its versatility, high towing capacity (up to 6,000 lb or 2,721 kg) and excellent reliability record.

The formula remains unchanged for 2024. This model still benefits from a 3.5L V6 engine with 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard, as is a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Nissan Pathfinder continues to be offered six ways - Pathfinder S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, SL Premium and Platinum - with a price range from $48,928 to $60,128, including a $2,030 freight and delivery charge.

Adventure and outdoor enthusiasts will be particularly drawn to the Rock Creek version, which boasts a number of cosmetic enhancements that give the Pathfinder a more rugged look. This variant is also a little more powerful, delivering 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, while being equipped with beefier shock absorbers, specially designed for off-road driving.

Nissan Armada

The Nissan Armada, the manufacturer's biggest SUV, enters the 2024 model-year unchanged.

Beneath its SUV bodywork lies a full-size pickup truck. This makes the Armada the tool of choice for families wishing to transport seven passengers, as well as tow a tent-trailer, boat or trailer. Its 8,500 lb (3,856 kg) towing capacity is competitive, while its four-wheel drive system is efficient for off-roading.

Under the hood, you'll find an engine that has long proven its reliability. It's a 5.6L V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Nissan Armada 2024 is available in four trim levels: SL, Midnight Edition, Platinum and Platinum with captain's chairs in the second row. Prices range from $76,439 to $85,189, including all fees.

THE (ONLY) PICKUP TRUCK

Nissan Frontier

Understanding that the Frontier now resides in an extremely competitive pickup segment, Nissan gave its popular pickup a huge overhaul for 2022. Nothing of note changes for the 2024 model-year.

Facing the likes of the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon twins, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Ridgeline, Ford Ranger and Jeep Gladiator, the Nissan Frontier offers a simple, yet effective formula. Still built on a steel frame, it is available in two configurations: King Cab (2 doors with reverse doors) or Crew Cab (4 doors). A 6-foot body is standard in both cases, while a 5-foot body is offered as an option with the Crew Cab.

A single engine powers the entire range, a proven 3.8L V6 with 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, while a four-wheel drive system is standard equipment. Towing capacity - for all versions - is rated at 6,490 lb (2,944 kg), while payload is 1420 lb (644 kg).

A Pro-4X version enhances off-road capabilities. The package subtly changes the truck's styling while adding beefier Bilstein shock absorbers, self-locking rear differential, three skid plates to protect the mechanics, tires designed for off-road driving and towing hooks. For 2024, the Nissan Frontier is available only in Pro-4X and Pro-4X Luxury configurations.
