Mitsubishi's sporty new Eclipse was onstage, surrounded by an attractive lineup of driver-oriented cars and SUVs, including the compact Lancer Ralliart, compact Outlander crossover SUV, midsize Galant sedan and midsize Endeavor SUV - made famous for out cornering benchmark sport sedans.

Infiniti shouldn't face such complaints from its loyalists, as the new M35 and M45 are about as attractive as midsize sedans get. The luxury model's extremely strong lineup of drivetrains and superb interior should help it gain fans too. Last heard, sales of the M are up 1,100 percent over the outgoing model in its first month. Not bad at all.
Speaking of hot sellers, Mazda can't seem to do any wrong, which is why its Mazda5 mini-minivan should be a big hit, as well as its MazdaSpeed6, featuring 270-hp and all-wheel drive.
