Champions of the 2009 Quebec Rally Championship Simon Dubé and Pat Lavigne won Saturday the triple crown at the series' first outing in Charlevoix since 2002.

Dubé and Lavigne finished 21 seconds before Bruno Carré and Yvan Joyal in overall standing but in front of Éric Courchesne and Frédérick Prigge in the Jon Nichols Cup. Daniel Gauthier and Daniel Pilote completed the podium in this class.

As for Quebec’s Cup, Sylvain Bazinet and Lyne Murphy – also the 2009 champions – won the Production Class in front of Carl Tremblay and Louis Dicaire aind Aurélia Dalbera and Julie Tremblay.

Carré and Joyal took the Collaborators class victory in front of Marc Bourassa and Daniel Paquette and rookie team David Renaud and Anick Madon. This last duo helped Dubé and Lavigne to complete the event earlier in the day when the team experienced problems.

Champions will have a chance to start defending their crown when Quebec’s Rally Championship returns in February 2010.
