Sperafico's life came to an end at age 26 when Renato Russo's car hit him in the last Stock Car Light race of the season in Interlagos, Brazil.
The young driver lost control of his car and hit the wall before coming back on the race track, where he was hit by Russo. He had no chance of survival.
Rafael Sperafico died immediatly of a serious head injury. Russo is also suffering head injury but is now concious in an Interlagos hospital.
