The Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition should better watch their backs: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is planning to develop and sell a new full-size SUV under the Ram brand.
FCA president and CEO Sergio Marchionne told Automotive News that such a vehicle is now possible because of the planned redesigns of Ram’s pickups.
“I think we have a unique opportunity with renewal of the pickup line, with the powertrains we selected, to significantly increase output,” he said. “We will also be exploring, as a result of that investment, some other segments.”
