Filipe Albuquerque beat his superstar rivals on Sunday to win the 2010 Race of Champions in Düsseldorf, Germany.
It is not the first time that superstars are beaten by virtualy unknown drivers at the ROC. Heikki Kovalainen, who crashed heavily in the first race Sunday, had won the title against all odds in 2004.
Albuquerque had won the ROC South Europe earlier this year. He beat Sébastian Loeb in finale of this 2010 edition of the ROC also having the best of new Formule 1 champion Sebastian Vettel along the way.
Loeb had reached the final spot by beating eight-time Le Mans champion Tom Kristensen and world touring car star Andy Priaulx.
Sunday was also memorable for an epic duel between Germany's F1 champion of past and present. Michael Schumacher was beaten by his young countryman Sebastian Vettel in the KTM-X-Bows.
The competition was split in three groups (A-B-C) which led to the finale between Loeb and Portuguese champion Albuquerque.
64,000 fans attended the popular event which featured many F1 Champions performances. The duel Schumacher-Prost, notably, cumulated 11 World Championships.
