Mitsubishi Outlander

The non-identical twin of the Nissan Rogue, the Mitsubishi Outlander, finally benefits from the Nissan skeleton. This explains the presence of the same 2.5L naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine under the hood of this vehicle, which is, we should add, blessed or cursed with quite the polarizing design. Up to you to decide if you like having it sit in your driveway.

The Outlander, unlike the Rogue, will soon be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain on this platform, but soon is not yet, not quite. For now, the “old” but still popular Outlander PHEV remains the version available to consumers here in Canada. The new version of the plug-in Outlander will debut next year as a 2023 model.
