Honda Pilot

Here’s another trusted reference that’s easy to recommend. The 2019 Honda Pilot is as comfortable as the Odyssey minivan and it can be equipped with everything that’s possible in that model. The biggest question a potential buyer faces, is which automatic transmission to go with. The good old 6-speed unit has proven itself over the long haul, but it’s starting to get outdated; the new 9-speed transmission, meanwhile is more modern but its performance hasn’t won over everyone. It appears the automaker’s engineers addressed the main complaints for the unit that’s in the 2019 edition.
Overall, the Pilot is unquestionably a solid choice. However, for those who find the three-row SUV a tad too long, there’s the new Honda Passport as an alternative that’s pretty similar to the Pilot, except shorter!
From our review:
“The Pilot does everything you need it to do, and then a fair bit more in the worst possible driving situations, which makes it worth a look if the plough occasionally forgets your street, too.”
