5 — Land Rover Defender

Here’s another comeback that was made without bruising anybody’s sensibilities. In the case of the Land Rover Defender, it's easy to understand why, since for one thing we're talking about a model that always had limited visibility and market share in North America, and one that thus hasn't made as much of an impact on previous generations of motorists here.
At the same time, the fact that it’s styled with retro touches while being also very modern and attractive to boot, has helped the new Defender be accepted without complaint.
Add to that the fact that this a vehicle with extraordinary off-road capabilities, and the new Defender truly captures the spirit of its ancestor.
