Honda HR-V
Not much has changed for the HR-V in 2025, as it received a massive overhaul for the 2023 model-year. That overhaul made it a whole lot bigger than before and gave it some all-new styling as well.
The HR-V remains one of the most spacious models in the segment (park one beside an older CR-V and you’ll be surprised how similar in size they are) with Honda’s customary sharp handling coming as part of the deal.
All models get a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine good for 158 hp and 138 lb-ft, as well as a CVT automatic.

Alfa Romeo Tonale
Alfa Romeo coming out with the Tonale would have been a bit of a surprise about a decade ago, but now that the brand has done fairly well with its Stelvio full-size SUV, it starts to make more sense. The Tonale gets the Euro-chic styling many love on the Stelvio including, of course, the classic Scudetto grille.
The SUV also gets some neat wheel choices, cool colours and two powertrains: a turbocharged 4-cylinder with 268 hp and 295 lb-ft, as well as a plug-in hybrid variant that can cruise for 53 km on EV power alone. Not bad at all.
