Best minivan: Toyota Sienna
In a category as sparsely populated as the minivan segment, you’d think a winner would be easy to pick. Nope. The four models available on the market - including the two Chrysler models - all have qualities and flaws, but mostly they have qualities. And what they offer is equivalent to that of the better three-row crossovers.
The Toyota minivan stands out in terms of fuel economy, with the hybrid version consuming as little as 6.5L/100 km on the highway, while the four-wheel-drive version averages 6.6L/100 km in that regard. Yes, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid, but it's not available with all-wheel drive and its overall fuel economy average of 8.0L/100 km isn't as impressive as the Toyota's. Last point: the American minivan weighs more.
