Best sports car: Toyota GR 86

As the years go by, we should expect to see the sporty category become more and more electrified, but until the electric shift is complete, there are still some very interesting - and relatively affordable - options on the market. Think of the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Mazda MX-5 or even the Honda Civic Si, but let's not forget the Hyundai Elantra N (a little more expensive) and the Toyota GR 86/Subaru BRZ duo.
It's the less expensive of that last duo that earns our vote this year. We should mention that the interest rates in effect at the time of writing were more favourable for Subaru, perhaps offsetting the more accessible entry price for the Toyota.
Build quality is excellent in the GR 86, while driving pleasure is at the heart of the Japanese coupe made in collaboration with partner Subaru.
