With its new Ramcharger, Ram is jumping on the “EREV” bandwagon – that is to say a hybrid that uses a gas engine to generate EV power, but not to actually run the wheels. The tech – think of it as the opposite of a mild hybrid, which would use an EV motor as a booster instead of the main power source – allows for 663 hp but more importantly, a claimed range of over 1,100 km. That’s a big leap forward from anything available on the market today.

The Ramcharger can even tow up to 6,350 kg.

When is the Ram Ramcharger coming?

Ram plans to launch the Ramcharger in early 2025.
