It’s getting boring saying Hyundai has the wind in its sails when its comes to EVs, but the Korean automaker keeps on earning that description. So just as 2022 was the year of the Ioniq 5, it's looking an awful lot like 2023 will be the year of the Ioniq 6 electric sedan.

Indeed, the Korean brand’s hot new item is turning heads with its design, which is completely different from that of the Ioniq 5 but is just as original and exciting. And yup, the sedan just won the same three awards at the recent 2023 New York Auto Show, which is saying a lot.

Based on the same platform as the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 offers much the same powertrain options as its close sibling. To wit, we’re not alone in predicting an N version of the 6 will be developed in the coming months.
